Julington Creek is a vibrant master-planned community in Jacksonville, FL, known for its wide range of family-focused amenities. From playgrounds and sports fields to scenic walking paths and resort-style aquatic facilities, the community is designed to support active lifestyles and year-round recreation. At the heart of the community is a thoughtfully designed clubhouse complex featuring multiple swimming pools, each tailored for a different use.

The aquatic facility includes a dedicated lap pool for competitive swimming, complete with starting blocks and a scoreboard, as well as a shallow kiddie pool for younger patrons, featuring integrated laminar-jet water features. The centerpiece of the complex is the activity pool, which combines interactive water play elements with two exciting waterslides, creating a dynamic space for both relaxation and high-energy play.

The waterslide experience is designed to accommodate a wide range of age groups. A smaller kiddie slide, designed for riders under 38 inches, features its own set of stairs and an elevated platform for independent access. For a more thrilling experience, a 154-foot waterslide is designed for riders over 48” and can be accessed by a custom spiral staircase enclosed within a visually striking tower structure. Designed to complement the surrounding clubhouse architecture, the tower conceals the staircase while enhancing the overall aesthetic with rooflines that match the adjacent buildings.

Supporting the aquatic environment are three collector tanks that supply water to each pool, ensuring efficient and reliable operation. The competition pool is served by a 1,100-gallon tank, the kiddie pool by a 250-gallon tank, and the recreation pool by a 4,000-gallon tank. AquaWorx provided both the waterslides and the collector tanks, delivering a complete package for aquatic play and water management.

This project also highlights the strength of the PlayCore Aquatics family of brands, with starting blocks from Spectrum Aquatics and a scoreboard from Colorado Time Systems. Together, these elements create a cohesive and high-performing aquatic facility that enhances the Julington Creek community experience for residents of all ages.
