It's All in the Details: Colors & Finishes
When designing an aquatic environment, the selection of products, colors, and finishes influences both visual impact and long-term performance. High-use spaces are often exposed to chlorine, UV radiation, and frequent cleaning over extended seasons, making material durability an important factor. Choosing the right materials with established performance can help maintain a consistent appearance, support safer standards, and manage maintenance needs, which can help keep facilities functional and accessible throughout the season.
What's All This Armor About?
Aqua Armor is an advanced protective coating designed to enhance the lifespan and performance of surfaces in demanding aquatic environments.
Developed through a multi-stage formulation process, it is engineered for durability and versatility. By blending carefully selected chemical compounds tested for use in aquatic applications and integrating a range of color options, Aqua Armor is created to meet both functional and aesthetic performance needs.
At its core, Aqua Armor provides strong resistance to chlorine, acids, saltwater, and high humidity, making it well-suited for pools, splash pads, and other water-exposed environments. Its performance has been validated through immersion testing to ensure reliability under continuous exposure. It can be applied as either a clear finish or a tinted coating, offering a fade-resistant appearance that outperforms traditional powder-coat systems while maintaining long-term clarity without yellowing. This level of protection places it among the most durable coating solutions in the industry.
In comparison to standard coatings, Aqua Armor is classified as a “tough” coating, delivering a balanced combination of strength and flexibility that improves impact resistance and long-term durability. Its surface can have a subtle orange peel texture—slightly dimpled or pebbled in appearance, intentionally used to enhance durability or reduce glare. By contrast, conventional powder coatings typically produce a smoother, more rigid finish with less flexibility.
Built For The Elements
Aqua Armor is engineered to perform in extreme conditions. It cures at ambient temperatures with shorter processing times, eliminating the need for the high-heat ovens required by other powder coatings. Its molecular structure supports reliable performance in both high heat and freezing environments, with impact resistance tested down to -40°F.
The coating’s natural flexibility and elongation allow it to absorb stress without cracking, helping maintain structural integrity over time. Integrated UV inhibitors further protect against sun exposure, minimizing fading and material degradation while preserving appearance and performance. Its durable surface resists chipping, scratching, and wear even in high-traffic or demanding environments, offering a higher level of protection than traditional coating systems.

Messes Meet Their Match
Maintenance is straightforward and cost-effective. The surface is easy to clean using standard, store-bought products, allowing for quick removal of graffiti, mineral buildup, and other residues. In the event of wear or damage, Aqua Armor is field repairable, meaning touch-ups can be completed on-site without the need to remove or replace equipment.
Cleaning Aqua Armor is a simple process.
A bit of “elbow grease” or light pressure with a sponge while cleaning is all it takes to remove unwanted buildup from your aquatic feature.

Overall, Aqua Armor delivers a well-rounded solution that combines durability, flexibility, and ease of maintenance. Backed by a two-year warranty, it provides long-lasting protection and peace of mind for aquatic facilities looking to preserve both the function and appearance of their assets.
Color Your Way
Aqua Worx provides twenty different standard colors brought to you by Pantone, offering a full ROYGBIV spectrum, for design flexibility. Featuring new colors like: Daffodil, Sea Foam, and Avocado!
Offering 20 standard Pantone colors across the full ROYGBIV spectrum, giving you complete design flexibility, as seen in this Lotus Petal's color combination.
We also offer LusterCoat, which is 4 metallic finishes that deliver the look of metal without the burden of constant upkeep and maintenance.
Lastly, we offer an Acrylic Series. The Acrylic Series brings water features to life by allowing light to pass through and cast vibrant reflections that move across the surface. Color choices vary depending on translucent or fluorescent effects. Available in standalone features or integrated into multi-level playsets, these translucent finishes add bold, eye-catching color that enhances the overall aquatic experience.
